On Saturday, August 3, 2024, our U/15 netball team took to the courts at Meridian Karino with determination and team spirit. Competing in the first round of the prestigious Umsebenti Wethu League, our young athletes showcased their incredible talent and hard work.
The team faced tough competition but emerged victorious in one of their matches, a testament to their skills, strategy, and teamwork. The second match was equally challenging, and while it didn’t result in a win, the players gave their all, leaving everything on the court. Their resilience and fighting spirit were evident, and we couldn’t be more proud of their effort.
The day wasn’t just about the matches, though. It was a true display of school pride, with our Senior netball team turning up in full force to support their younger counterparts. Their cheers and encouragement from the sidelines played a crucial role in lifting the spirits of the U/15 team, reminding us all of the importance of unity and support in sports.
This event marks the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season in the Umsebenti Wethu League. The U/15 team has set a high standard with their performance, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and achieve even more success in the coming rounds. The experience gained from this first outing will undoubtedly serve them well in future matches.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each member of the U/15 team for their dedication and passion. Your efforts on the court have brought pride to our school, and we are excited to see where this journey will take you. A special thanks also goes out to the Senior team for their unwavering support – your presence and encouragement were invaluable.
Here’s to many more victories ahead, both on and off the court. Let’s keep the momentum going, and remember that every game is an opportunity to learn, improve, and shine.
